In Kelly's Directory of Oxfordshire for 1907, James Lund is listed under Veterinary Surgeons.

His address was 61 Wood Green, Witney.

so this is him in 1911:

James Lund

Estimated Birth Year: abt 1859

Ancestry's transcription puts several other people with him, but he's actually living alone.
The other people's address is also 61 Wood Green, but they're a different household.

The 1939 death I posted earlier is the correct one.

Having fround him there, I managed to pick him out on FMP

There is a record on FMP of James Macintosh Lund as a Lieutenant in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps 1914-22, which fits with 1901

No age or birthplace info, but the full record can be seen at Kew

Yes I've got that one for 1939

And that could be him in the 1881 census at school his father had died so possibly having 2 boys close together their mother must have sent him to school

thought it was strange not finding him for 40 yrs?
possibly the one in the 1891 census was him also

Thank you

Hi I know you can't get the full Scottish censuses but I'm looking for a James MacIntosh Lund born 1868 I've got him in 1871 with his brother and mother

Margaret Lund aged 37 Thomas M Lund 4 & James M Lund 3 Berwick upon Tweed

but nothing after that for James until 1901 where he is in Chapel en le frith Buxton England down as James Macintosh Lund

On scotlandspeople it has a James Mc I Lund aged 13 in Morebattle Midlothian
in 1881 and 1891 it has a James M Lund aged 29 in Newington Midlothian

I've tried on ancestry to find these two censuses but nothing is showing up so hoping some one with FMP can look I know sometimes they do differ in what shows up

Thank you
