help with old search please

Hi
Ages ago I tried researching an ancestor -but I cannot find the old thread-it keeps coming up with an error message.

It was about a John Sargent born Exeter Devon and baptised 25 October 1807 at St Kerrian,Exeter. Parents Mary and William.


Im trying to get back further now there are more records available -but wanted to find the old thread to avoid going over old ground -can anybody help please?

I believe his son was John Sargent born 1807 which was my 5x great grandfather. On the igi there is a john sargent born 1807 exeter parents william and mary- but cannot find either of w or m on 1841-so looking back to see why not-and came across this.looking for ways to get documents info etc to prove the link.-thanks

I'd just did a general internet search for the key words John Sargent born Exeter Devon and added Genes Reunited.

The result did have a .za as part of the address, now edited to .uk

Familyfinder -

Just for future reference - you mentioned you'd tried Advanced Search.

Advanced Search hasn't worked for years, so it's not worth even trying it.
We've complained to GR on numerous occasions, but they don't do anything about it.

Researching:
Old genealogists never die.....they just lose their census.
