Hi I looking for my Great grandfather's family in Barbados. Hsi name was Sidney Dudley Graham or may have been Sylvester or St Clair. Is there anyone who can help trace this family. I have been to Barbados to the archives but no joy. Any small lead may help. Thanks

When Sidney Dudley Sylvester Graham was born on 18 April 1895 in Barbados, his father, Thomas, was 35. He married Emma Louisa Skingle in September 1925 in West Ham, Essex. They had six children in 13 years. He died on 18 October 1976 in Tower Hamlets, Kent, at the age of 81.

Only seeing 5 children on freeebmd . But one is Edgar born 1922 so that 1939 reg looks to be the right family with birth dates a bit out

Edit first birth in 1920 has mmn spelt shingle !

Her birth must have been a slight late registration

Other than the record of his father being Thomas nothing else shows on ancestry or FMP

Yes this is the correct family. The Fathers name was from the Marriage certificate. How true this is the problem. He obviously left Barbados for a reason and did not seem to have any contact with his family after. He was a Merchant seaman and he spent many years at sea. I have been able to trace his children, including one born in 1933 who died very young. My Grandad was the eldest and lived to a ripe old age of 97. It is the Barbados family I am trying to trace....knowing how difficult this maybe with little information. Other names that are significant are Scantlebury and Walthrus as these have been identified through DNA links. but these 4th cousin also have limited information on their families.
