HI,

Newspaper inquest reports show he was killed whilst cycling early one morning and applied his brakes to avoid a dog with which he collided. He was thrown several feet into the air and lost consciousness after the fall .He was removed to Hurstwood Park Hospital but did not regain consciousness. Medical evidence showed that death was due to a fracture of the base of the skull, bronchial pneumonia supervening. A verdict of accidental death. He is named as Edward Harry Payne of Anchor Cottage, Hubbards Hill, Sevenoaks, and the accident took place on Glebe Road Sevenoaks.

We are trying to find out more about my husbands great uncle Edward Harry payne born Sevenoaks area Kent in 1905 and died 1941 no one in the family talks about him but wondered what the mystery is many thanks.dawn
