Sorry for not getting back brfore now I checked for a few hours then left it Thank you for all your help in finding this out for me apparently Alice Jackson Stewart had a son William Galbraith in 1904 in America so all the family must have gone out at some time

Thank you yes it would appear all the family went out there at some time Alice had a son William Galbraith abt 1903 in the united States. George Charles stayed over there and married ?? but the rest of the family seem to have gone back to Scotland as that is where they died

Per the 1916 record, he was an iron founder, and his NOK was Thomas Stewart, Bo'ness.
[ Interestingly, in light of what you say about there not being many of that name, there was a David Tweedie Stuart born 1828 in Pennsylvania. Died in Maryland 1886.]

On ancestry looking at David Tweedie Stewart they have an entry on a passenger list going to USA As I don't have world wide membership I can't access it to see if it is the David Tweedie Stewart I'm following (don't think their are many with that name though) I would be grateful for any info on the list , when it was and if he was with anyone I have him single in Lancashire 1911 aged 33 he was born in Linlithgow West Lothian Scotland Thank you
