I think that his full name is a bit of a red herring as is father -------- I tried just Robert Drake at roughly the same age as Charlotte with no father in the search
came up with some in area where dock workers may have lived 1861 and 1871 from which I think I may have the answer

Mmmm. Farmer in 1867 to Clerk in the Docks 1869 seems a bit of a change doesn't it!

13 Queens Street seems an unlikely address for a farmer - and in 1861, there was no such address on the census, as far as I can see. The highest number I can find is 11

Does the original of any of these records say 'farmer'?
I have seen a farrier translated as farmer sometimes.

In answer to Gwyn's question: yes it definitely looks like "farmer" in this record, originally poasted by Catherine, but copied again below. His father is also a farmer.
If it's meant to be farrier, then the writer has put in an extra downstroke. Twice.
