I have an Edward John Rayner in my tree I've got his parents I'm trying to find a little more about him . I've got his Army record which states he was born 16 May 1894 he lived in Plumstead London I've found him in the 1939 Census living at 32 Rochester way Blackheath Kent which states he was married but his wife isn't with him he died in 1965 living at the same address leaving his money to a Pamela Winifred Sutherland a married woman? |

Looks like Pamela married in 1963. Her maiden name was Rayner. |

Pamela is on the ER with her husband and a possible daughter until 2014 (they may have opted out the open register then). She was living at the same address as Edward John so probably inherited his house. |

Yes, Sylann. ER is electoral register. There is a possible daughter on the register with them. |

Looking on zoopla, it doesn't look like the house has been sold so the family may still be living in Edward's home. |

He is on his own on the 1939 register and no closed records so maybe Winifred had evacuated with Pamela |

Thank you for that and taking the time to look further these are distant relative but once I got into them I wanted to find out more especially when other people on ancestry had the same parents but married to different people I like to make my tree as positive as I can if I'm not sure I have the person in grey as in not known sex until I can confirm one way or another |
