I can't find birth registrations for either of the 3 younger children or for a marriage online BUT several countries (Canada, Australia) have strict laws on when such information can be released to the public ...... often referred to as the 50/70 or 80/100 year rule depending on whether it's death, marriage or birth. I suspect NZ has the same rule.

Basically, his wife Lillian Jane Hocking and his solicitor Clifford Oswald Bell were named Executrix and Executor and Trustees.

All debts to be paid, then one-half of remainder to be given to Lillian Jane Hocking and the remaining ½ shared between his children William George Hocking, Joan Lillian Mary Hocking and Raymond Charles Hocking or those of them that survive "me" on reaching the age of 21

Thank you Sylvaln he did have to other childen with his 1st wife they were George and joan not sure if Joesph married is 2nd wife lillian Johns (neeBone) or they just lived together the had 1 child Raymond

Sorry, but I think that IS him ..... he travelled out first, then his first wife followed afterward with 3 children. His wife and 3 children had all died by 1938.

I can't find out if he had any more children with his first wife in NZ between 1930 and 1938 when she died.

Oh dear ......

it looks as though all 3 of the children died, the baby in 1931 and the 2 older in 1938.

Audrey was an "infant" when travelling .......

Hi can anyone please help ,Looking for Joseph william Hocking all I have on him is that he died in 11/10/1958 cause by drowning at Wellington New Zealand ,Was told that he married twice second wife name was lillian Jane Johns Ist wife died he was on the west coast mining ,also he or his parents were born in America ,he had three children George ,Joan ,Raymond Raymond could have name of Johns as they were not married when he was born
