Hello, not sure if this should go at the end of this post - I thought Richard died March q 1858 but that Richard is only 34. I have found a Richard Foster aged 71 on the 1871 census at Guisborough born Ormesby, a widower. Could someone see if they can find him on the 1861 census. I'm not having much luck. Thanks. |

Just so I have occupations - I see Richard is an Ag. Lab. - so not necessarily with Hannah or in home area in 1841 or both could be out of area. |

Thanks Malyon. I am now trying to find a marriage for Mary, I can't find any more children for Richard and Hannah. |

I don't think you'll find a marriage for Mary: |

Thank you Austin, and you found the 1841 census as well which is great. With no more children and Richard and Hannah both dying earlyish, I think I can put my research on these two to bed. Thanks again everyone. |

Thank you Argyl and Austin. I think Union House could be the workhouse, and I think that could be his death. I will have to do some googling. Thanks again. |

Thank you Argyll. This must be Richard, everything seems to fit. Not sure about the the 1861 census though. |
