Some years ago I saw a reference, and in my mind it was in the national archives, to the death of an ancestor of mine. I'm sure it was a newspaper article but maybe not. His name was James Whiffing Siggs and he died in dubious circumstances circa 1821. I didn't have full access to the archives and still don't, I have always meant to visit, maybe when I retire ! Does anyone have access to or know any other way of finding out about his death ? I'm off to work so I'll check back later, thank you. |

You can search the National Archives for free - there doesn't seem to be anything for James , James W or James Whiffin/g Siggs. |

Thanks everyone, I,d forgotten about the LMA site. Argyll Gran, you say I can order a document, would this be the coroners report ? Thank you all for your time, Kevin. |

The reference, as posted above, says the document is in the Coroners Papers collection, so yes, I would guess so. |
