Hi Nellie,
George's death record shows his parents to be John McNaught and Isabella nee Maxwell (so NOT John McNaught and Jean Balmer of Glasgow)
The marriage to Jane Baxter shows George's father John's occupation to be farmer.
You would need to try and trace the forebears of John McNaught, farmer, and Isabella Maxwell to get further back, though that may not be easy.
You were really lucky that AustinQ found that death record for George, confirming the names of his parents and both his wives, and that the information ties in with the information you have from the marriage register for Samuel McNaught and Sarah Frazzle.

I will do Kucinta- great work :)
This is likely the marriage of George & Jane's daughter, Margaret- transcribed as McKnight:
Marriage: THOMAS THOMPSON MARGARET MCKNIGHT Year: 1891 Ref: 644/10 101 RD Name: Anderston -----------------------------------
EDIT: George Death certificate sent

That's brillian Austin Q!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So Nellie123 now has it confirmed that George McNaught's parents were John McNaught and Isabella Maxwell, and that he was born in Ireland, not in Scotland.
I don't suppose you could pm Nellie123 an image of that death cert? It is pretty key to tying things up nicely :-)
Edit, I also note the address on the death cert is 27 Catherine St, and the address on the 1881 census was 21 Catherine St, so again, that ties in nicely.

Possible red herring, but I wondered if there was any chance this is the death of 'Elisa' McNaught, nee Allen. Strabane is about 12 miles from Stranolar, where George M'Naught married Jane Baxter in 1871:
Name ELIZABETH MCNAUGHT Year of Death 1865 Group Registration ID N/R SR District/Reg Area Strabane Deceased Age at Death 33<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Returns Year 1865 Returns Quarter 3 Returns Volume No 12 Returns Page No 224
Unfortunately there's no image, so I can't check her marital status or if there's any information as to the name of her widower (if she had one)

Hi Austin Q, I think that George McNaught who married Jane Baxter, and probably previously Elisa Allen in 1857, is possibly the father of Samuel McNaught who married Sarah Frizzle.
I have posted an 1881 Census with what I believe is Samuel, father George, stepmother Jane Baxter, and half sister (?) to Samuel, Margaret .
No sign of 1875 born George though...but you did say he may have died a year later?
What I'd like to find is a birth/baptism for Margaret McNaught aged 8 on the 1881 census, down as born in Ireland.
That George,in the 1881 census, , was born c1826 in IRELAND so he is NOT the George McNaught born either 1838 or 1845 in Glasgow, son of John McNaught a compositor, and wife Jean Balmer . I think we have surmised the 1838 George had probably died by census 1841, and the second George, born 1845, would be too young to be the George who married Elisa Allen in Ireland in 1857, as well as that, he seems to have been single and living in London in census 1861.
So it's a question as to whether Nellie123 thinks I have the right Samuel and George in census 1881 in Glasgow. One fly in the ointment is that George is a music teacher on the marriage to Jane Baxter, but a labourer in the 1881 census...

I'm not really sure what we're looking for! So have no idea if connected-
The image for that 1871 marriage is on https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie
George was indeed a widower, father John (a farmer).
George's occupation is ? and music teacher.
George and Jane (Baxter) have a son, George in 1875 Stranorlar- he possible died a year later.

Possibly Jean's birth - although the 1841 (not necessarily accurate) makes her 5 years younger:
BALMUIR JEAN GEORGE BALMUIR/MARY WRIGHT FR2293 (FR2293) F 01/09/1815 644/1 210 250 Glasgow
Note parents' names George and Mary, which recur in Jean's children's names (though admittedly common names). Also note the surname Wright - also a common name, but that 's the surname of one of the witnesses to the marriage of Jean & John's son John .

That's interesting Chris.
I'm inclined to believe that the George McNaught who married Elisa Allen in Ireland in 1857 is NOT the son of John McNaught and Jean Balmer/Balmour, but I could be wrong.
Census 1881
If this is the Samuel from that thread, and I note the wife of father George is Jane not Elisa, though it may be a later marriage, then that George was born in IRELAND c1826 :
