Looks good - as I mentioned earlier, William was a widower when he married Jane in 1882

No idea if connected- haven't really got time to look into it. Perhaps he was born a little earlier? Spotted this marriage- hope it doesn't confuse things (I can delete if not connected):

What is the occupation of John snr in the censuses above?

I would agree that the above are probably the couple who married in Stockport, but I don't think that is the poster's family, when taking into account the info on the other thread about Charles (Marriage: 19th september 1863,st peter. Manchester

The rest of the family could well be on the pieces which were water-damaged.

Looking at the info on your previous thread, all of the people on 1841 census are recorded as having been born in Lancashire, so it seems strange that the parents would - perhaps- have married in Stockport
