Remember that ages of those over 15 were rounded down on the 1841 census to 5 or 0, so age shown as 35 could be 35-39. Likewise age 15 could be 15-19. |

I think I had Anne Derns parents right at Joseph Dern (etc ) & Elizabeth walkway or again several diff spellings Walklate etc |

Hi yes I’d seen that 1841 census before & tried to work back from Ann’s Parents but because of all the mis spelling Durn , Dean - Dern etc etc it was impossible |

Could be? if the age was out on marriage, it is closer to the age on census, mistranscribed as Devin but is Durn on image? |

Ohhh right George was a widower I nvr saw the - so could his birth year be the 1819 one then ? |

As George was a widower on the marriage cert I might suggest he was less than honest about his age when marrying Ann? which would tie in with the 1861 census being closer to his real age? |
