Just to add -
Reginald Lund, the supposed son of Emmaretta per that tree on Ancestry, is a mistake by the tree owner.
He's not with Emmaretta in either 1891 or 1901:
Emaritta Lund in the 1901 England Census Name: Emaritta Lund Age: 39 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1862 Relation to Head: Servant Gender: Female Birth Place: Tendering, Essex, England Civil Parish: Sculcoates Ecclesiastical parish: St Andrew Town: Kingston upon Hull County/Island: Yorkshire Country: England Street address: Occupation: Condition as to marriage: Education: Employment status: View image Registration district: Sculcoates Sub-registration district: Drypool ED, institution, or vessel: 07 Neighbors: View others on page Piece: 4483 Folio: 23 Page Number: 38 Household schedule number: 234 Household Members: Name Age Christopher Turgoose 48 Christopher Turgoose 15 Elizabeth Turgoose 11 Emaritta Lund 39 William T Lund 3 Alsop Turgoose 14
The tree's" proof" of Reginald's existence is a 1901 census where he is with his brother-in-law Frederick Jones, and Frederick's wife Emily J Jones (Reginald's sister) in Sculcoates.
Marriages Jun 1900 (>99%) Jones Frederick Skirlaugh 9d 583 Lund Emily Jane Skirlaugh 9d 583
This is the only Reginald Lund born Hull c 1891 that I can see:
LUND, REGINALD mms GLEADHILL GRO Reference: 1890 D Quarter in HULL Volume 09D Page 277
Marriages Jun 1874 (>99%) Gleadhill Mary Jane Beverley 9d 192 Lund Joseph Beverley 9d 192
This must be Emily J's birth, even though with different mms:
LUND, EMILY JANE mms PRIESTMAN GRO Reference: 1876 S Quarter in HULL Volume 09D Page 244
In 1891 Jane E Priestman is listed as Joseph Lund's mother-in-law.
Marriages Sep 1859 (>99%)
Gledhill Jane Elizabeth Sculcoates 9d 231 Priestman John Needham Sculcoates 9d 231
However, I won't be sidetracked into researching a completely unconnected family!

Thank you for all your efforts - you are a wonderful lot at digging out hideaway ancestors. I have made a little discovery of my own. Re Emeretta as shown above who married Walter Lund. On 1891 Census she is married toWalter Lund and has living eith her Henry Charles Bell - her younger brother. They are living at 12 Wentworth Road. Coincidentally living next door at No. 14 is the Wallis family whose daughter Ada Wallis marries Henry Charles Bell

A tree on Ancestry says Emmaretta was in Ecclesall Bierlow, Yorkshire in 1881; married Walter Lund in Sheffield 1882; had son Reginald c1891 Hull; was in Kimberworth, Yorkshire in 1891; Walter died 1896 in York; another son born 1898 in Sculcoates (William Turgoose Lund 1898 - 1958) was living in Sculcoates 1901; married Christopher Turgoose in Hull 1901; son Reginald died in Hull 1911; Emmaretta died 13 May 1944 Hull.
Apparently there's something about her death in the Hull Daily Mail - are you there Chris ??
The tree says Lucy died 1875 Tendring.
Nothing about James Bell, unfortunately, apart form his name.
I haven't checked any of this, but the tree seems well researched, with a good number of records copied to the tree.

Goodness me, what a complicated/mysterious woman this Lucy Clements seems to have been - she appears to have been producing children all over the place !! and what an unusual name Emmaretta !! Thank you for all your help. I must go now and prepare the evening meal so my absence isn't disinterest, just busy. Thanks a lot.

I have a Lucy Clements born 1830 Gt Bentley, Essex. She had two children before marriage but in 1854 she married James Bell - regd. Tendring, Essex and had two children by him - Jemima in 1854 and Rose in 1859 and supposedly Henry Charles Bell in 1868. I say supposedly because on the 1861 census Lucy is described as married but it says' deserted of husband '. Now if this is the case James could not be Henry Charles father. (Charles Henry was always known as Charlie in later life).I do not know unfortunately anything else about James ie date/place birth and have scoured the 1861 census looking for him without success. Then realised that he would be on 1851 census as not married to Lucy at the time but was not successful here. I have also tried to find a copy of the marriage cert online in the hope of finding his father's name but got nowhere. Incidentally Lucy was in the workhouse when her first two children were born and was back there in 1861 with her children and still there by 1881 census. By 1891 Charles Henry had moved away and was lodging in Yorkshire. I feel I have tried every avenue to get more information on James and his parentage and have run out of ideas, Has anyone any thoughts as to what I can do next ? Thanks for reading and for any help you can give.
