That's another mother Reys. All these different mothers getting me a headache now. Wow thank you it gives us something to sort out to see who the real anne is the right person.

Just to add -

I suspect this is the birth of their son George, with ms mistranscribed:

Annie wasn't Garrod (or similar).

James was Garrod in 1881 and Garrard in 1871 (both censuses posted above).
Chris has also given his parents' details - Hobart and Harriet.

Annie's ms is given as Page in all the children's birth records we've found, so it seems certain that was her ms.

I wonder if they were not married and annie was Garrad ,Garrod or Garrard and James was wood that is why they changed names.either one of them might of been married before.Thank you so much for your help.Past catching up on them I think. something fishy.Thank you so much all of you I was surprized once again.You are all ace.The family are going to be more confused now .lol xx

So, for some reason, the family are sometimes calling themselves Wood, and sometimes Garrard/Garrod/other variation.

I still can't see any marriage between James and Annie, under either name.

Unless James was using yet another surname at the time!
Or Annie had been married before.
Maybe she was still married, and never married James.

I keep being drawn to this one (probably a red herring) - but can't find any of these people in 1891, to see which woman married which man:
