A tree on Ancestry says George (born 1817) died Eastern Cape, South Africa, in 1872. |

No DOB, so can't prove from this that he's the same man, but presumably this is the record the tree owner is going by: |

Trees on Ancestry state 1817 (Tolpuddle???) I have checked Tolpuddle and no such baptism there. We know his father was Charles BENDLE and his wife was Eliza WAY. There is a George BENDLE in East Tytherley Hampshire. |

I don't see George or Eliza in 1851 - perhaps they'd already gone to SA ? |
