yes i have that marriage the mum was a nurse and the dad a doctor in WW1

Wondering about this one if he was actually James William Haig? you can't search Scottish births using mmn after 1854

You need the Scotland's People website. Free to search but you need to buy credits to open records. There is a 100 year privacy on births, 75 years for marriages and 50 years for deaths. More recent than that you have to order the certificate itself through the site. 30 credits for £7.50 still I think. Search for free, 6 credits to open a record or £12 to order a certificate.
