Malc, if there is no father named on the birth certificate, I would suggest that you are at a dead end. His baptismal record gave his father as Charles Clayson but presumably that information was given by his unmarried mother(probably to save face). His father may well have been a Charles but not a Clayson. |

If this is his birth, there is no mother's maiden name given on the GRO index which would suggest that no father's name is given on his birth certificate. |
