...............which gives date of birth as 27 Oct "1909", so looks as though my info would be correct.

Catherine just checked the original image of 1939 and the date is 27th Oct 1906, there's a slight blue pen mark that the transcriber has mistaken for the stroke of a 5, but comparing to other entries it is definitely 06

I've been taking a look at this problem and, to keep you busy, could someone take another look at 1939 and check the year of birth on original, for Beatrice please?

There is no birth on freebmd for Beatrice Muriel James to fit with the DOB given in 1939

What was Frank's occupation on the marriage and birth certs?

What was her father's name? And her declared age when she married?
