Well Austin Q and everyone else who’s helped me I have the copy of the original marriage certificate between Elizabeth Ann Carter and Andrew Olsen and unfortunately it looks as though it does say Ulster Olsen ( or Wolsen as it’s written). There are no other details about where he comes from and I wonder if they just wrote what they thought his name was, as it doesn’t sound very Norwegian. |

I wonder if there is a record of merchant crews, which might help define a birthplace in Norway. |
