Just a quick update the father of Ann Bailey is stated on her marriage cert to Charles as William Bailey a farmer - would love to go bk another generation but have been told Irish records are very vague.

That 1841 census looks promising

Oh that’s interesting I didn’t know it was that close to Loughborough

Not finding Charles in 1851 at present.

Both 1861 and 1871 say he was born in Costock. Whilst it is in Notts. the nearest "big place" is Loughborough

??? ages above 15 rounded down to nearest 5 on the 1841, so would fit a birth c1822-26
