They would be notified and able to reply even if they are no longer paying members (unless they have completely deleted their account all retain free membership and can receive messages ). But the tree owner may have changed email address in the intervening years and not informed GR of the change, or sadly they may have died. |

Over the past 6 months, in search for information on possible common ancestors, I have sent out 10 messages, of these 7 remain un-opened by the recipient - why would this be? do recipients receive notification of message arrivals? can emails be opened even if subscription has not been paid - just wondering and feeling a bit fustrated! |
