He was age 20 years 8 months when he enlisted on 5th March 1901. He was discharged at the end of his service on 9/8/02 - His conduct was good.

He served in South Africa from 25/3/01 to 2/8/02 and earned the South African War Medal with clasps for Transvaal + Cape Colony - 01/02.

Father George. Height 5'4" , wight 139 lbs. Fresh Complexion, brown hair and brown eyes.

he was a labouer, discharged 09/08/02
father george hamblin, upper green inkpen
he got thhe queens south african medal, with clasps for transvaal and cape colony
served in south africa 25/03/01 - 02/08/02
he was 5ft 4" with brown eyes and hair
intended residence same as fathers address
