Hi I am trying to trace the family of John or Jack Discombe from South East London who was married twice and had one son. The son became a sales rep back in 1950/1960's before moving away

Roughly how old would the son (name??) have been in the 1950's/60's ?

Did John have the middle initial E ?

Assuming he married in the London area, I can see two marriages for a John E Discombe;
1933 to Violet E Cornwall, and 1952 to Nora A S Trigg or Rutland.

(But possibly two different John E Discombes.)

The 1933 marriage resulted in the birth of a son John in 1934, Lewisham.

No children were born of the second marriage, as far as I can see.

If that son John, born of the 1933 marriage is the correct one, he married a Clarke in 1959, in Ealing.

In 1963-4 they were living in Stanford Road, Croydon.

Possibly two daughters, one born 1967, Westminster, and the other in 1970, Canterbury.

Hi, My Aunt Nora Anne Trigg (Rutland) married Jack Discombe in 1954 at Woolwich Town Hall. I have a photograph of the wedding party. Nora’s father and sister – my Mum Joan both attended the wedding. They lived in Caltock Street Greenwich near the old Blackwall tunnel approach. They later moved to a flat in Grove Park. Sometime after Jack died Nora moved to back Mitcheldeen in Gloucestershire where she spent some of her childhood and meet her first husband Don Trigg and to be near her sister. There were no children from either marriage.
Nora worked at Semen’s at Woolwich Dockyard and Jack worked for Johnson & Johnson’s cable manufacturer.
Jack had been in the army and serviced in Africa where he worked laying electrical cables and was fluent in the local language in Kenya – I believe.
Jack had a son from his first marriage and was very proud of his son. Later there were two granddaughters.
