You need to give some background. How do you know his mother was Mcphee?

I have had bits of information past down no certificate just rough estimates or what I could find on family search but as I am in England and wasn't in touch with the Scottish side the information is a bit vague John Larkins is my grandad I knew his dad was Hugh Larkins macphee then Thomas Annie but didn't know her surname or where married the rest of the information is correct many thanks for your help I have got the rest of the info with the census but wanted to find out more about Annie and now I have a lost name that's a start xx

My grandfather was Thomas Larkins born 1894. Son of Thomas and Annie Larkins and brother to Hugh Larkins from the feed above would be your great grandfather. My mum was named after her gran Annie. I have just started tracing my family tree. Strainey was Annie’s maiden name and my mum’s middle name. Not sure how accurate the spelling on records was in previous years as some of the records I have looked at show variations from Straney, Stranley, Larkin. Hope this helps.
