Still searching for the marriage between Rbt.Downie and Sarah Graham..It had to be sometime after April 1901..(she is on Census with her parents) and 1908 when she died but its being very elusive ....!!

Robert James Downie and Lizzie also had another child- Joseph.

Joseph was born in 1921 and died just 17 days old on 20th November 1921.

The address was Factory View, Banbridge. His father, Robert, registered the death.

Robert James married Sarah Graham (we still can't find the marriage). He and Sarah had two children- Robert James born 1905 and William born 1908 (William died the same year).

Sarah died in 1908, and Robert remarried Elizabeth/ Lizzie McMeekin in 1917.

Robert's first son (born 1905) married Dorothy Saunders in Dorset in 1932.

I'm getting a bit confused as the Robert james 1885 I have married a Elizabeth meekin.

Sarah Graham "Downey" aged 25yrs died at her parents residence Poyntz Pass on 12 Sept.1908 mother Eliz. present at death.
Cause of Death : Pulmonary TB for 1 year.

Death Reg .Newry. ( age mistranscribed as 75yrs...original shows 25yrs.)

Robert's first child (Robert James) was born 19th May 1905 at Belfast Workhouse.

He was unnamed at registration.

Elizabeth had a twin brother named Robert and two sisters Isabel and phylis.all born in Ireland but died here in Dartford kent.

It's been a pleasure Carol.

Do you still have bits missing please? Do you have dates for the deaths of Elizabeth's parents? Did they remain in Ireland of come to England with Elizabeth? Did Elizabeth have full siblings?

If you need anything else please just add it to this thread.

I'm sure you won't delete this thread but just to say, it's best to leave it as perhaps some of Elizabeth's cousins descendants may get around to tracing their family tree.

No. The mc Bride is wrong.

His first wife was Sarah Graham (see above census). Whether he had Sarah's name tattooed on his arm before or after her death we'll never know.
