Find Ancestors

Wondered if anyone could help with the birth of the above. I think he would be born about 1888 and possibly in Lancashire. In 1914 he married Bertha
Anyon in Preston and he died in Preston 1952 but I'm puzzled about his birth.

Can't be sure that Alexander is the right one as there isn't any mention of his middle name .George.
I might get a copy of his marriage certificate as it will have his age when married and his fathers name.
Bertha Anyon is right as she was my grandmother's sister.

A lot of the time they did'nt put their middle names on census.

He is the only birth in that year or near it and there is no other so it must be him.

Unfortunately they didn't have any children but did adopt a girl later. I don't know her name or if it was done officially.
