There is a photo of Henrietta (I think) in the following paper:

There is something really odd about this woman
I'm planning a trip to the GRO this week and I will look at both of Henrietta's other marriages and her death cert to check for parentage provided on these
I cannot locate a previous marriage for Joseph Spears but I know his children were born in the Kirkcaldy area the 1920's. I will look at the births to see who their mother was.
His 2nd son, named Harry was killed in a road accident in 1953. The death announcement gives his parents as" Mr & Mrs" Joseph Spears but, the address matches with Joseph's own death announcement the following year.

Thanks Austin, Did you obtain the 1911 census? I am assuming that she was boarding or in service, living with a family of another name because I could not see anyone else named Stewart listed on the same index.
I obtained the 1911 marriage last week to satisfy my own curiosity There is no mother listed for 21yr old Henrietta, only her father, named as David Stewart, General Labour who is not noted to be deceased. ( i have seen plenty statutory docs that fail to name a father but, no mother is a 1st for me)
Henrietta & William Phillips gave the same address: 176 Denbeath, Wemyss Marriage took place on 27 Oct 1911 at West High Street, Methil Witnesses: William and Margaret McAdam
I too wondered where her Northumberland birth info came from which is why I asked Pauline about the 1911 census in Buckhaven.
If she was born in Edinburgh.... These are the only 2 possibles for a child born in Midlothian between 1889 & 1892 STEWART MARY HENRIETTA F 1890 692/1 257 Leith North
STEWART HENRIETTA F 1892 685/3 177 Canongate ..... I would guess at this one!
( 3 others were born in Glasgow/ Aberdeen /Dundee)
EDIT: Henrietta's occupation at time of marriage was: Flax Mill Worker. Does that concur with 1911 census in Buckhaven?

Harriet or Henrietta- you keep swapping?
The Henritte Stewart in Buckhaven on the 1911 census age 20 was born in Edinburgh.
What was her address on the marriage certificate in 1911?
Who were the witnesses?
How do you know she was born Northumberland?

If you don't have a birth certificate for Henrietta or are unable to trace her before 1911, I can't see how you could positively identify her father, especially when there was no mother's name listed on her 1911 marriage cert
There is no evidence of his approx age, or place of birth. Neither men named David Stewart found on this thread look plausible
One seems to have died in infancy and the other was a merchant seaman rather than a general labourer as listed on Henrietta's marriage

Fife Free Press, & Kirkcaldy Guardian 20 February 1954
Joseph Spears died on 16 Feb 1954 at :14 Leslie Street Kirkcaldy He was 75 yrs old, and beloved husband of Henrietta Stewart.
However, on the 1st anniversary of his death, there were 4 In Memorium notices which all came from his children and grandchildren. There was one from a son named Fred. One each from daughters named Molly and Emma the fourth refers to Joseph as a father and grandfather which came from: Jenny, Andrew, Drew and Stewart
We have no idea how long Henrietta's marriage to William Phillips lasted. All we know is that they divorced in 1950 and Henrietta married Joseph Spears in that same year. Joseph died in 1954 and Henrietta must have married David Ramsay within weeks/months.
This is bizarre. I wonder if this article relates to both of Henrietta's future husbands . LOL
Fife Free Press, & Kirkcaldy Guardian ****20 July 1935****
David Ramsay was a 63 yr old labourer of Bridgeton, Kirkcaldy Joseph Spears of Kirkcaldy was having a drink in a local pub David Ramsay, walked into the pub and without provocation, punched Joseph Spears twice in the face.
In Court, Ramsay admitted the assault. Sentence was deferred for a year if David Ramsay promised to lay off alcohol in this period. Later that year, David Ramsay was in court again. He sold a Motorbike but neither he or the purchaser bothered to inform Fife Council that the vehicle had changed hands. Both parties were fine £20
If it's the same man, he must have been about 80yrs old when he married Henrietta

To know that her marriage took place in Scotland would have been helpful.
I can see from a search of SP that appears to be on the 1911 census in Buckhaven.( Henritta Stewart age 20yrs) I can't see anyone else named Stewart on this index 459/2/5/5 Is it this census that states she was born in Northumberland?
I assume she is the woman who died in Edinburgh in 1982 aged 91yrs ?
3 names only on the death index: Stewart/Spears/ Ramsay and no Phillips mentioned on index. Whoever registered this death, omitted her 1st husband
STEWART HENRIETTA PHILLIPS WILLIAM 1911 459/2 69 69 Buckhaven
I have looked at this marriage and I have never seen a Scottish marriage cert that names a father only! Is her mother named on her death cert?
SPEARS JOSEPH STEWART HENRIETTA 1950 442/ 198 ......... Also indexed under Henrietta Phillips Kirkcaldy
RAMSAY DAVID STEWART HENRIETTA 1954 442/ 264...... Also Indexed under Henrietta Spears and Speirs Kirkcaldy
Unless she had been living with Joseph Spears for 20-30 yrs before her 1950 marriage, I would very much doubt that she had any children with him because she was about 70yrs old when she married him and 74 yrs old when she married David Ramsay.
Edit: I can find just one child named Henrietta Stewart born in Northumberland, 2 yrs either side of 1890. Registration place: Belford This girl's parents seem to be called Robert And Elizabeth

OOPS... I forgot to add something. The couple named James Stewart and Harriet Smart moved to Kinghorn in Fife where they had at least one more child. Their daughters, Mary Ann and Ann both died in infancy and deaths are both registered in Cranston
Harriet Stewart/ Smart died in Kinghorn in 1874 but, an 8yr old child named David Stewart also died in Kinghorn in 1869. David does not appear on the 1871 census with his parents which indicates that this is his death and not the person/ father being sought in the OP
1861: Cranston, Midlothian James Stewart 31 B Edinburgh Barret Stewart 31 B Kinghorn Harriet Stewart 8 Christina Stewart 6 James Stewart 4 Matthew W Stewart 2 **David B Stewart 4 Mo
1871 Kinghorn, Fife James Stewart 42 B Edinburgh Harriet Stewart 42 B Kinghorn James Stewart 14 William Stewart 12 Alexander Stewart 7 Isabella Stewart 7 Mo
Widower, James Stewart remarried Jane Laing in Kinghorn in 1875 1881: Kinghorn James Stewart 51 Jane Stewart 45 Alexander Stewart 18 Isabella Stewart 11 Jane Stewart 5 Mary Stewart 3
