Unfortunately Ontario births on Ancestry only go up to 1913. |

Could this be Sarah Alice's arrival in Canada? She gives mother's name as Mrs. Sarah Haselden, 4 Fair View, Billinge nr. Wigan. She's going to brother-in-law Mr. W. Pilkington, 102 Holman St., London, Ontario. |

Is this Sarah returning to England? She's with 7 month old Joan Haselden, heading to Billinge nr. Wigan intending to make England future permanent residence. |

Margaret, I really appreciate your efforts, but I have to tell you I already know a lot about Sarah. It's just the birth I was after. Thanks though! x |

I don't understand. You say you have Joan's birth certificate but you only say that she was born late 1920's, no actual date of birth. You also say that the birth certificate states that there was a previous child born to Sarah Alice. I've never seen that info on a birth certificate. She only had 7 month old Joan with her when she returned to England. This Joan would have been born 1932. |

Apologies, I saw the birth cert which her sister has, but do not have a copy myself and forgot to note the exact year. I was only giving a guide though. It says 2 children born to the mother - there is a section asking this. |

Ancestry has Ontario deaths up to 1947 but I couldn't see a death for a Haselden or Powell in the right time frame. |

I think Ont births are closed to the general public for 97y. They will be available to close family members - but I'm not clear who qualifies as close. |
