Not sure what you mean Philip - Kath has posted his wife Agnes above (at 16.56) on the 1939 register. They were married in the June quarter of 1939 which was before the census was done. |

would it be possible to look for Edwards wife agnes Teresa Cavanagh they marry in 1939 but must have been after the register. Agnes was born 17 September 1918 and would be living in leigh Lancashire |

yes Alice Florence born 1890 was Edwards mum and I can't find her on the register either |

I saw that death so if he was on the above record it should have been opened. However some "open" records are "closed" and vice versa, so it might be worth asking Findmypast if he is on the record. If you have proof of his death (certificate) then if he IS there they would open the record for you. |
