I have tried to find Mary Ann Elizabeth Jane Allen b1895 in Battersea in either the 1901 or 1911 census without success. Her parents were James Henry Allen and Jane Elizabeth Allen nee Pincham. I'd be extremely grateful if anyone could find any of them. Many thanks in advance, Ron |

Hi Gins, that could very well be her because there are Wiggins on both sides of my wife's family for whom I am doing this research. Thank you. Didn't think to look at her mother's maiden name. |

I believe it to be so, but this would very late and after my wife's father's birth by ten years. Thank you for your help but I need to stop now. Kind regards, Ron |

Are you saying that your wife's father was born around 1920 but had a sister born 25 years earlier? |

Hello MargaretM, I'm really sorry, but I confused the 1930s marriage as being my wife's father's mother's (Mary A E J Pincham) marriage, rather than her parent's marriage. If it is her parent's marriage why on earth did they leave it until 1930 when Mary was born in 1895? |

Her birth was registered as Allen, mmn Pincham in the march quarter 1896, so could have been born between mid-November 1895 to March 31 (if the got into the Registrar's office ultra-fast!) .............. but that doesn't mean that the parents were married, or that the marriage did not last. |

IF that 1930 marriage is for Jane Elizabeth and James H Allen, then it means that one of themw as unable to marry before that time ....... probably James |
