I m looking for relatives of the masterson family in Lancashire William was born in Blackburn 1889 i have the birth certificate
i know very little of this family side. Recently looked at the 1901 cencus and was very annoyed when there was no matches

Roman Catholic so names are in the Latin equivalent

William's Father in 1911. He had wrongly completed (as a widower and the question referred to the wife) that he had been married 34 years with 9 children born but 1 had died

You can see the names of the 8 living children in the earlier posted census' and confirm their births on the gro site. Put in surname and years +/- 2, District of birth as Blackburn (as they were all born there), but leave mmn blank or tick variations as they show as Dunne or Dunn

Likewise you'll find the other child was Ann b 1895, died 1895. Her age at death shows as 1 year, but GRO aren't able to distinguish years from months/weeks etc. so as birth and death are registered same quarter and year it won't be age 1 year

Sorry. I have Masterson in my tree but they don't go back as far as you are looking. They were born in Lancashire. The name Hill caught my eye as John James Masterson married Linda Alice Hill but that might be a coincidence. John James was born in 1946. I know it's quite recent but there might be a connection and maybe they could help
