Find Ancestors

hi can anyone help or advise me on where to look
.my 2xggrandfather james john moore boyle was a jp in cavan Ireland land .I have seen all the petty court sessions dog licencing etc links but cannot find any familyi nformation on him until he married ellen marden in preston in 1854 after coming over from ireland...was this protected information ....
I know he lived at tullyvin house in cavan as did his father Maxwell boyle jp ......I can see servants live there in census but no family members other than themselves .....where did the famly live ?how can I look for them ? or is this a brick wall ?

Thank you I have got this information and believe there is a vault in the grounds with 22 members of the Moore Boyle family. In . But I am stuck as to where to look for family information .

The information i need to find is prior to James j m Boyle moving to U.K. . As they were landowners I have found a lot about that side and the demise but no family links other than James j m Boyle was son of Maxwell James Boyle who was a magistrate and who was also a landowner in Cavan and surrounding counties ..but brick wall as to any personal / family links in Ireland

I don't know if this link will work, but it will come up on family search if you look for Honaria Theadosia Boyle. It's her probate record showing her living at Tullyvin House, and probate is granted to her son Maxwell James Boyle.

He died on the 8th of November from Liver Disease and lived at "The Cottage" Tullyvin.

FUNERAL OF THE LATE M. J. BOYLE, ESQ., J.P., OF TULLYVIN--The remains of this lamented gentleman whose demise we briefly noticed in our last publication, were interred in the family vault, situate on the site of an ancient burial place within the precincts of Tullyvin Demesne, on Monday se'ennight. The funeral possession had a very imposing and unique appearance, being composed of almost all the magistrates and gentlemen, &c., of the neighbourhood, and a great number of the tenantry on the Tullyvin Estate, wearing scarfs and hat-bands, who preceeded the hearse, marching two and two in solemn silence; then came the carriages, gigs, jaunting cars, and other vehicles--the horse- men bringing up the rear--the hearse drawn by four horses, with sable housings, was followed by the chief mourners. Wm. M. BOYLE, Esq., of Tullyvin-house (the present proprietor of the estate), his brother, J. J. M. BOYLE, Esq., Charles BOYLE, Esq., J.P., Tanagh, brother, and Thomas COOTE, Esq., J. P., Brandrum, nephew to deceased. The two latter gentlemen who are Captains in the Monaghan militia served in the office of Sheriff for that county, as did the late Wm. M. J. BOYLE for that of Cavan, in the memorable year 1826. MR. BOYLE was a good landlord and a humane, but just magistrate, and is the last of forty other Grand Jurors of the county Cavan, his contemporaries who have preceded him, and gone to "that bourne where no traveller returns." Great merit is due to the Messrs. COONEY, of Cootehill, for the elegant and appropriate manner in which they conducted the funeral obsequies.

I cannot open any old threads for some reason even though I can see the header as I have not been on for a while so thought I'd try again .....I have just found Maxwell James Boyle had 3 sisters Rebecca Lydia and Margaret who married Thomas coote

I'm afraid I just don't understand the stuff about 'anything under the header' ... when one clicks on the link for a thread in the 'My threads' list, one sees the entire first page of the thread ... my bugaboo is usually javascript, maybe it's that. :-)

Another tip - when you see you have posted a message twice, like in this thread (be patient when you click Submit, don't click twice), you can go back and Delete the spares.

And also - private messages that you get here aren't on your computer, they're on the GenesReunited site. So the message that Eringobragh (or anybody else) sent you will still be in your Inbox. Unless you deleted it, which there's never any reason to do -- because private messages, and posts in threads, don't take up room on your computer. Just go to Messages up top, and click Inbox to see all the private messages you have received.
