Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 10,667 Send Message	9 Snarr marriages in Hampshire (ignoring the 1813 one in Alverstoke) all but 1 are in Portsmouth or Gosport dating 1931 - 1985 9 Snarr births in Hampshire 1932 - 1981, 7 of those registered Portsmouth or Gosport My initial thought would be one of the hundreds of Yorkshire Snarrs joined the Navy and settled in Portsmouth area (Portsmouth and Gosport are either side of Portsmouth Harbour). (Heavens forbid it could actually be Army too) - Do you have any names that you are particularly trying to link?

	Lot of information about Wilfred on Ancestry, including birth Howden death Haslar, and the ship HMS Vernon. The Snarr family tree is on Ancestry. Wilfred's Father is father Thomas Snarr, grandfather John Snarr born 1844, Howden, his Father John, 1804 (who married Ann Bramham).
