Wow Shirley thank you for that information , I knew Dorothy had 2 sisters Ellen and Mary and a brother Robert, but didn't know any thing else , Thier father died in1933 after colliding with a car in Rugby, I know nothing about thier father Francis William Griffin born c 1886.. Only that he married Evelyn Sybil Irene Wood in Rugby in 1915, I have searched on here for people researching the same name but have come up blank , any little snippet of information is very helpful to pass onto my mother

one of the sons is still in Rugby to 2009 on the electoral rolls if you want the address

edit another one to 2012 they may have just opted out of the public roll after that
and the sister to 2014 all still in Rugby

one of them may be interested in the family tree and will be your mums cousins

Sadly she died 1955 of a brain tumour, my mum didn't have much time with her, she has lost all contact with her Warwickshire side of the family . So anything I can find out for her is a big bonus , I really appreciate all your help

Thank you for that that's very interesting , my grandmother ( Dorothy) died when my mum was 8 and my mum doesn't have any information on her , so now I can tell her something :-)

The death occurred in Devon on Saturday of Mrs J. H. Bailey, of the Vineyard School, Myton Crescent. Mrs. Bailey, who was 67 was born in Scotland. In 1927 in Birmingham, Mrs. Bailev and her sister founded a school for backward children. Later they came to Warwick and started a similar establishment. Mrs. Bailey leaves a daughter and three grandsons
