Hi, Trying to trace Alfred T Charles born 1939 at Banbury UK, Parents were William T Charles and Mother Bertha Gwendoline Alice Hicks. Alfred may have been in the British National Armed Services and married a Beryl P Lee in South Australia, Australia. Would like to find out date of marriage, GRO reference number and whether he is still alive.

That 1964 marriage has the spouses surname missed off but it is Lee

So seems he was in the forces when he married

Thanks for all answers, have tried all the Australian BDM offices but no luck.
Have now requested info from GRO UK but had to make up a marriage date so hopefully they will search all 1964 Service Department Marriages (1956-1965).

as the marriage was over 50 years ago you shouldn't have needed the actual marriage date

they may reject your request if it has the wrong date on it
