07 February 1902 - Durham County Advertiser - Durham, Durham, England

Alleged Game Trespass at Tanfield.
Thos. Urwin, Thomas Sword, John Watson and William Curry, miners were charged with trespassing on land at Tanfield Grange. In pursuit of game, on the 11th January. - Charles Brown, head gamekeeper for Mr S. Duncombe Eden, of Beamish Park, averred that he caught the defendants on the land. Urwin had a gun. He heard two shots fired. - P.C. Ferguson said three of the defendants told him that they went on the land for a bit of sport. - The Bench dismissed the case for want of corroborative evidence.

Can anyone help me with the contents of the article dated 23/1/1903 concerning Charles Brown of Beamish Park who seems to have placed an article/advert in 'The Scotsman' looking for work.
He was a game keeper and lived in Urpeth. He is my GGrandad.
