The plot thickens!
Rose and Francis did have 4 children (all born Dalziel, Motherwell)- but none called Ann that I can see!
Children were: John 1890 Isabella 1893 James 1894 Catherine 1898
No idea what happened to Francis- but this is Rose with the children in 1901- now called Watson:

OK- found John's birth- it's a little out from the 1911 census:
John McKerney Born: 19th March 1890 Place: 256 Milton Street, Motherwell, Dalziel Father: Francis McKerney (Steel works labourer) Mother: Rose Ann McKerney nee Devlin
which means the 1891 census is the correct parents, but where is John?

Just spotted this on the Ancestry message boards- seems to tie in:
"Hi, My grandmother was Catherine McKearney born in motherwell, Scotland in 1898.
I know she had two brothers James and John and a sister Annie.
Her father was Francis McKearney born in Armagh , he was married to Roseann Devlin.
They went to Scotland for Francis to work on the Railroad. The children went back to Monaghan to stay with grandmother Bridget McKearney (widow of John).
My grandmother always thought her parents, Francis and Roseann were dead and she was brought to the US by her aunt Lizzy Mullen (McKearney), francis sister.
I've always wondered if her siblings survived to adulthood and were ever married with children. Perhaps I have cousins in Ireland."

James Will shows he left farm to Patrick and in case he did not marry and have children it would go to his Nephew James McKearney...The farm was not to be sold. He mentions Teresa Catherine and Alice also Annie but no mention of a Margaret tor Mary Wonder if John (1911 b Scotland) was aka James
The address of Patricks Death would I imagine be the home of sister Alice.......

Just looking at the other children of John Mckearney and Bridget Moan and making a few notes.
Patrick was born c1862- I don't see him on the 1901 or 1911, but he died 1924- listed as a bachelor (but information only as good as informant knows):
Death: 30th November 1924 Place: Tassan, Castleblayney Name: Patrick Mckearney Age: 62 Status: Bachelor Occ: Farmer Cause: Paralysis 2 days (no medical attention) Informant: John J Flanagan, nephew of deceased (present at death) ---------------------------------------
So far I have children:
Alice birth given as both1853 &1858 on census- death on in 1942 age 89- so birth c1853 (married Flanagan).
Patrick born 1862, died 1924 (listed as bachelor)
Mary born 13th June 1864- possible death 1878 age 13.
James born c1865 died 1919- appears unmarried
Catherine 1866- married Michael McKeown in 1901
Teresa born 1867- married Francis Mulligan 1912
Margaret born 1869- married 1907 to Terence Rafferty --------------------------------
Now I'm presuming there were more children between Alice and Patrick- suspect one of these would be a John named after his father?

I've looked at that John McKearney birth and I don't think that's the right one. His parents are John McKearney and Maggie McQuade who married in Glasgow in 1891. Looked at the marriage certificate and John, a Saddler Journeyman is the son of Stephen McKearney and Mary Ward.
