I posted this at 21:25, and it looks as though this is the correct Nanny / Nancy ........
Nanny was baptised Nancy .......... this os possibly her baptism as she had children called Thomas and Elizabeth (and I cannot find a Nanny / Nancy with parents James and Elizabeth born around the correct time and in the correct place)
Baptism: 6 Apr 1794 All Saints, Wigan, Lancashire, England Nancy Tunstall - third Daur. of Thomas Tunstall & Betty (formerly Snape) Born: 1 Mar Abode: Standish Parish Occupation: Farmer Mother's Parents: Richard & Mary Snape Register: Baptisms 1779 - 1799, Page 349 Source: Original register at Wigan Archives
-------- Nanny said that she was born in Standish on the 1851 Census :-D
Possible siblings ................
Baptism: 28 Nov 1784 St Wilfrid, Standish, Lancashire, England Richard Tunstall - Son of Thomas Tunstall & Betty Abode: Standish Baptised by: Thomas Knowles, Curate Register: Baptisms 1772 - 1812, Page 57, Entry 12 Source: LDS Film 1526140
Baptism: 1 Apr 1787 St Wilfrid, Standish, Lancashire, England Mary Tunstall - Daughter of Thomas Tunstall & Betty Abode: Standish Baptised by: Thomas Knowles, Curate Register: Baptisms 1772 - 1812, Page 69, Entry 9 Source: LDS Film 1526140
Baptism: 3 Jul 1789 All Saints, Wigan, Lancashire, England Nathan Tunstall - third Son of Thomas Tunstall & Betty (formerly Snape) Born: 9 Jun Abode: Standish-Wood Occupation: Farmer Mother's Parents: Richard & Mary Snape Register: Baptisms 1779 - 1799, Page 225 Source: Original register at Wigan Archives
Baptism: 19 Feb 1792 All Saints, Wigan, Lancashire, England Ellen Tunstall - second Daur. of Thomas Tunstall & Betty (formerly Snape) Born: 27 Jan Abode: Standish-Wood Occupation: Farmer Mother's Parents: Richard & Mary Snape Register: Baptisms 1779 - 1799, Page 289 Source: Original register at Wigan Archives
Baptism: 14 Aug 1796 St Katharine, Blackrod, Lancashire, England Mary Tunstall - 4th Dr. of Thomas Tunstall & Betty (formerly Snape), his Wife Born: 18 Jul Abode: Anderton Maternal Grandfather: Rich. Snape of Charnock Richd. Register: Baptisms 1783 - 1807, Page 93, Entry 13 Source: LDS Film 2148001
Baptism: 11 Aug 1799 St Katharine, Blackrod, Lancashire, England Thomas Tunstal - 3rd son of Thomas Tunstal & Betty (formerly Snape), his Wife Born: 10 Jul Abode: Anderton Maternal Grandfather: Richd Snape of Layland Register: Baptisms 1783 - 1807, Page 118, Entry 1 Source: LDS Film 2148001
It's neat that these baptisms tell us the mother's maiden name, and the names of her parents:-)
Marriage: 19 Jan 1780 St Mary the Virgin, Eccleston, Lancashire, England Thomas Tunstall - Bachelor, Eccleston Betty Snape - Spinster, Leyland Witness: Nathan Tunstall; Thomas Livsley Married by Banns by: Robert Dickinson Register: Marriages 1772 - 1812, Page 24, Entry 95
Marriage: 29 Sep 1755 St Wilfrid, Standish, Lancashire, England Richard Snape - Croston Mary Sumner - (X), Spinster, The said Parish Witness: James Anderton; Thomas Moore Banns Read: 14 Sep 1755, 2nd: 21 Sep 1755, 3rd: 28 Sep 1755 Married by Banns by: E. Smalley, Curate Register: Marriages 1754 - 1792, Page 9, Entry 36 Source: LDS Film 1526140
?????
I'm just thinking aloud here .............
A Nathan Tunstall was a witness to Thomas and Bedtty's marriage .......... could this be Nathan's parents??
Baptism: 17 Apr 1759 St Michael and All Angels, Croston, Lancashire, England Nathan Tunstall - Son of John Tunstall & Ellen Born: 31 Mar 1759 Abode: Bispham Occupation: Yeoman Register: Baptisms 1728 - 1782, Page 41, Entry 6 Source: LDS Film 93712
If so, could this be Thomas' baptism .........
Baptism: 29 Jul 1753 St Michael and All Angels, Croston, Lancashire, England Thos. Tunstall - Son of John Tunstall & Ellen Born: 19 Jul 1753 Abode: Heskin Occupation: Husbandman Register: Baptisms 1728 - 1782, Page 34, Entry 21 Source: LDS Film 93712

Re the marriage of Adam and Nancy / Nanny ................
Marriage: 1 Mar 1829 St Mary the Virgin, Blackburn, Lancashire, England Adam Wood - (X), Washer, Widower, Blackburn Nanny Law - (X), Widow, Blackburn Witness: Thomas Eccles, (X); Joseph Fairbrother Married by Banns by: S J Allen Register: Marriages 1827 - 1829, Page 192, Entry 575 Source: LDS Film 1278807
I've looked at the original image of the Bishop's Transcript on ancestry.
1. I think it says WORKER and Widower for Adam, not Washer
2. The witness Joseph Fairbrother appears to be what is called a "professional witness", ie someone who is paid a small amount to act as witness for marriages ......... such a person is usually a member of the church, eg sexton, choir member, etc.
I say this because he name appears as witness on 9 out of 10 records on the 2 pages of the Bishop's Transcripts that I can see
Similarly, James Bolton appears on 5 out of the 6 records showing for Dionysius and Nanny's marriage ....................
Marriage: 27 Jun 1814 St Mary the Virgin, Blackburn, Lancashire, England Dionisius Law - Weaver, bachelor, of this parish Nanny Tunstall - (X), spinster, of this parish Witness: William Guest; James Bolton Married by Banns by: W B Winstanley, Curate Register: Marriages 1813 - 1815, Page 183, Entry 548 Source: LDS Film 1278807
This means those two are no use fro tracing any family connection to the bride or groom.

Pat ............
I find it complicates things when you post new information on a prior post!
For example, you added a question re whether Nanny / Nancy had re-married or died several minutes later.
It's confusing when it is not clea that you have done so.
Please either add EDIT:- (new information) if you do that so that it is obvious OR, even better, a new post!
You may think I'm being a stick-in-the-mud, nasty or whatever .............. but it does make life easier if helpers do not have to keep re-reading old posts to see if there is new information!

Joseph .............
not really, except it is rather needless duplication ..... personally, I just scroll right through duplicated posts!
Equally, I try to always double check to see if any of the information has been posted before I post anything ...... though I don't always succeed in avoiding duplication! I do swear at myself when I do post duplications as it means wasted effort.

I've answered that question above .......
....... Nanny and Nancy are interchangeable BUT Nanny was also used as an "actual" name. Nanny is also interchangeable with Ann(e)
