It does mean she remarried

The way they are transcribed is they put the new surname first instead of the current surname at 1939

They have also found the details of the daughters later marriage as an adult

For Instance my elder sister shows on the record .she was born in 1931 and passed away in 2002

They picked up her married name when she married in 1955 and have opened her record as they have picked up her death too

I think I know the answer to this but just want to check?

I have a family Bennett but the wife has another name wrote beside Bennett and it isn't her maiden name
The daughter is 5 and she has another name next to Bennett
so I'm thinking as I know the name of the daughter is her married name
does that mean the wife became a widow and married again

Hope you can understand what I'm after
