Hello!

Looking for information on my 6x-great-grandfather Norman Beaton. I know he was born around 1755 on the Isle of Skye. He moved to the Isle of Lewis and had two children- Norman (1785) and Catherine (1790). I know about what happens to Norman and Catherine's families but I don't have any other information on Norman Sr. and was hoping I could find some more to potentially see if I could get any further back on the Beaton tree.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Hello everyone!
Thank you all for your replies!

Since I posted the message I got lucky! I managed to find information on Norman Jr.'s wife Mary, who was also a Beaton, and happens to have a direct line of descent from the first Chief of Clan MacBean/MacBain and other older Beatons. I've managed to get back to the 13th Century, so I think my goal has been achieved.
