Well- it's not his daughter, it's his sister in law- but it's the only connection I can see- so perhaps her being listed as daughter was a mistake?

Is E Lawton listed on an obituary for Albert?
Mrs E Lawton.
E could be her husband's first initial.
Perhaps a relative of Jessie's
An article in the Staffordshire Advertiser - Saturday 10 June 1939 re the death of Mrs Edith Hill, wife of William Hill, Marsh Farm includes all the connected names among the family mourners:
The bearers were Stanley Lawton (Nephew).... Family mourners included William Hill (husband) ...Miss Mary Dix, Mrs Corbishley and Mrs Draycott (sisters), Mr Robert Dix (brother), Mr & Mrs Frank Dix and Mr & Mrs Harold Dix (brother and sister-in-laws), Mr & Mrs E Lawton (sister and brother-in-law)....

Perhaps the person writing up the attendees at the funeral got the relationship wrong, and the Mrs E Lawton was the one who was the Clerk at the mental hospital?

the 1939 reg posted by safc appears to be him, as Christine has those named sons in tree mmn Dix, but there does appear to be a daughter Eileen to a Corbishley/Dix born Congleton
edit forget that as being E Lawton though as Christine has Eileen in her tree also

This will be the Cheadle one but I can't believe that there could be 2 of the same age both with that fairly unusual name who died at the same time ??
Household (1 Person) Staffordshire Mental Hospital , Cheadle R.D., Staffordshire, England
First name(s) Last name(s) Role DOB Occupation Albert Corbishley Patient 20 Dec 1874 Potter's Warehouseman
Perhaps he was in hospital in Cheadle but his home was actually in the Crewe district ???
