Just found a distant relative emigrated to US (New Jersey / New York area), and wondered how to trace this side of the family through BMD's in America?
I have them on 1930 & 1940 US Census.
Names - Ninian Stewart Brown , 1889 Scotland, Frances Mildred Brown (Nee Young) b 1889 Carlisle, Doris Brown b1916 Lanarkshire, Scotland, Stewart Brown, b1926, New Jersey, USA.
How do I continue researching this branch??
Thanks....

Thanks Madie, Safc & GlasgowLass.
So, there are 2 Ninian Brown's who both emigrated !
Mine is the one married to Frances Young.
How, then, do I find out finding when Frances dies. Before or after her husband Ninian in 1949?
Also how do I find if her 2 children, Doris & Stewart ever married?

Ninian S Brown emigrated to the US via Canada in 1921. He was an Accountant going to NY C/o Price Waterhouse. He gave contact details for his father, Mr James C Brown at 117 Woodstock Ave, Eastwood, Renfrewshire.
Wife Frances and daughter Doris arrived in the US in 1925.
This is nitpicking Marcus, (apologies) but, it may make it easier to locate Doris
According to this travel doc, 9 yr old daughter Doris was not born in Lanarkshire.
Her name was Doris Foster Brown born 1915 in Darlington Their UK contact was Frances's father, Luke Wightman of Darlington.
