Looks like Alfred Asher married Mary Sampson 1902

They were likely the parents of Frederick 1903 and Clara 1906.

Alfred and Mary have gone their separate ways and by 1911 are living at different addresses, but both say that are still married (divorce didn't really happen back then).

Mary is living with Samuel Newton and child Elsie has been given the Newton surname as a middle name, so I would guess is more than likely his. However the birth was registered with her Mother's maiden name of Sampson and married Asher name.

Mary says she has had a 4th child who has died, but I haven't found the registration.

Don't be too specific when looking for people - always use name variants and +/- 2 years at least when searching.

I don't know what you mean about Violet and her parents etc

If this is your Frederick and the year of birth is correct then looking for a Q4 1903 or Q1 1904 birth registration. The initial could be R on the register. It's not like the A in Asher, but is more like the initial of sons Frederick and Cyril - GRO shows their initial to be A
