Just a Journeyman or journeyman and a trade ? Who were the witnesses, it sometimes helps. Are you getting the b 1898 from the age on the Marriage certificate? |

Possible his Father was the Chemist I don't know......Johns' son who was adopted was taken back to Liverpool and adopted by a couple nearby Scotland Road in Liverpool. |

2 trees on Ancestry have him born Liverpool 1898 and 1 relates to the 1911 census posted where his Father is a Chemist and Druggist. Not saying they are correct. Apart from the marriage to Audrey and the 2 children there is no further info. |

Thank you to the people who have responded to my Post re John Girvan. He had a middle forename West....eg John West Girvan and married Audrey Dorothy Hallsworth in 1919...in Derbyshire. He has a son Wilfred born the same year 1919 and also had another son Alan with Audrey six years later, who was put up for adoption, with a couple from Liverpool. |

My Great Grandparent .......I can't find info; any further on than 1930's. I imagine John may have had another family in later life perhaps, but his details are non existent. On his marriage certificate to my Grandmother he had John West as first names. |
