I have hit a bit of a brick wall trying to find my 2x and 3 x great grandfathers. My 2x great grandfather born c 1853 is George William Purssor on the marriage banns (25/12/1871 married to Mary Ann Naylor) and was living in Lambeth, London. On the 1881 and 1891 censuses he is shown as George Purser (with no middle name or initial). I am unable to find him in any other census. According to the censuses George was born in Southwark, Lambeth.
On George's marriage banns his father is shown as Jeremiah Purssor (deceased).
I am unable to find Jeremiah in any census at all.
I have found one birth for a George Purser on 10 January 1852 in the sub-district of South in the City of London. However, there is no middle name and his father his James Purser. I am not sure it is my George.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really have hit the brick wall!

Thanks.

Rob
