Malyon- That 1841 is already established as family we're looking at. FMP version posted by Rootgather gives exactly the same details of where living, but condensed for better viewing. |

I think the Will is on Ancestry- haven't read it all, but it mentions his wife, Sarah Susanna as sole executor. (A William Christie married Sarah Susannah Dawson in 1811) |

Looks like Alexander Christie married Hannah Coomb as where they had Alexander junior baptised was not far from where they got married, making some headway :-) |

AustinQ, I think the 1851 census you posted gives Alexander's link to Jane Doyle. He's recorded as her Grandson. So unless she was William's mother remarried she must be Jane's mum. |

Swan Lane is the place of residence on Jane Christie's burial record and ChrisHo also mentions it on Jane Doyle's burial record. |
