Hello there. I'm hoping somebody out there will be able to help me find details about my great-grandfather, John B. Walker. I'm very new at family research so I'm probably going wrong somewhere! I have scoured the census and BMD records as much as I possibly can but getting no further than 'maybes'. If you can help, my father and myself would be so incredibly grateful! Here are the details... John Bertram Walker (as written on my grandmother's birth certificate) Born 1885 in Tottenham (according to 1911 census) Married May Barnett in 1910 in Romford, Essex. Worked as a Bioscope Operator and lived at 42 Seymour Gardens, Ilford (1911 census) Described occupation as Electrician on grandmother's birth certificate. Had one daughter, Kathlyn May Walker in 1915.
I can't find him on any other census that I can say is definitely him. The only person who might be a possibility is a Bertie J Walker on the 1901 census, born in Tottenham in 1883 working as an Engineers Clerk, but it seems unlikely. Again, any help would be fantastic. Thank you for reading :-)
