When you say "raised" does that mean he wasn't her son?

Do you know when and where John was born?

There is a birth showing for a John Derrick Gore born 1968...MMN Kerr

Does anyone know anything about Letitia Queenie Gore, born 1909. She married aged 48 in 1958 to William Brain in Gloucester Rural. She raised a boy called John Derek Gore but weeks and weeks of searching has not found his birth certificate.
