Thanks everyone. I have the marriage certificate for Queenie Gore to William Brain. Queenie's father is Richard John Gore.
I also have the marriage certificate for John Derek Gore to Maureen Winifred Cox. They were married in 1954 in Gloucester Rural. John Derek Gore was born in 1932 but there is no such mother as Queenie so I am stuck in a rut to order John Derek's birth certificate. I am one of the 3 children that Derek and Maureen had. We were born in 1955, 1957 and 1958 then fostered by early 1959. Maureen left us with Derek and Queenie and went to Germany. She came back to try and find us in 1967 but she was not allowed contact. We met her earlier this year, aged 81.
There are 2 Ronald L Gore registrations. We are after info on the one born in 1922 in Winchcombe as he is stated as father to John Derek Gore on the wedding certificate. This can't be right as only 10 years between them.
The John Derrick Gore 1968 is also someone we are in contact with as they think they are related to us and are checking facts before we meet up.

I read it as......

Maureen left us with Derek.......... and Queenie and went to Germany.

So as far as you are aware, John Derek never knew who his parents were?

There is a tree on Ancestry which has her having a partner, George Polowski, with 3 children, 2 private and June b1940.

Ronald L b1922 (MMN Gore) could only be Queenie's son if she was 13 when he was born. Not impossible but very unlikely. Possibly the son of one of her sisters. I think I would get that birth cert.

The nearest birth to John Derek's is Ronald b1931. That birth cert might also help.

The Ronald L Gore living with Queenie at 21 Coventry Close is the correct Ronald. Queennie was a spinster when she married William Brain in 1958. I have ordered Ronald's birth certificate but they take so long to come. I also ordered the birth certificate for Ronald Louis Gore, married to Ann Florence Kerr. We were told by my birth mother that John Derek Gore was an only child who lived with his mother Queenie. When I ordered the wedding certificate for Queenie and William Brain, it shows John Derek Gore as a witness and Richard John Gore as Queenie's dad but finding a Richard John Gore with a daughter called Queenie is proving tough.

Could this be her on 1911 ?

The name on the marriage certificate could be "fictitious" My grandfather married as William Thomas but his name was Tom.

Forgot to say that Ronald L Gore listed as John Derek's dad was an RAF pilot officer but I have no idea how to find these records.....anybody now how to find this record.

Interesting that it states that Mr Rupert Gore and Mr Ronald Gore are Brothers.

Just looking a little more into this family- nothing seems to fit nicely!!

Queenie born 1909- looking at the 1911 census her father is John- 1901 shows Arthur John, but her marriage, according to Kevin, states father as Richard John.

Despite Queenie marrying a Mr Brain, it isn't noted in the 1939 register.

Frederick George Gore was charged with housebreaking and larceny after breaking into his father's house- his father being John Gore of Gretton Hill Cottage. Ronald Lewis Gore (15), grandson of John Gore gave evidence to say the house was left secure.

Well done guys and girls.....AustinQ how do I read the newspaper articles you found. I now have to work out which of Mrs John Gore's children gave birth to Ronald Gore. Still leaves me to find John Derek Gore's parents as it can't be Queenie who is his birth mother due to no birth certificates on record showing this to be the case.
Did another family member have John Derek and die, leaving Queenie to raise him.

Using different search terms produces quite a few articles- The family weren't saints! There's quite a bit of petty crime going on between them. Nellie and Doris both got in a spot of bother in 1924 (obtaining money by false pretences) and were bound over for two years.
